No post today… just a promise:

I will be back tomorrow.  I’ve been on a bit of a downward spiral for various and sundry reason but I’m pulling myself back up.  Think of it as a June 1st resolution.

4 May 2007 – Friday at Last

It has been a long week.  I lifted this morning and it went pretty well, I increased weight on my curls to 85 pounds (2 sets of 10) and I’m excited and hoping I’ll be able to curl 100 pounds 10 times by years end.  Speaking of lifting I posted my updated lifting schedule on my Training Schedules page.

Yesterday’s Calories:
I ate 1812 calories and burned 655 extra through activity for a total of 1157.

3 May 2007 – Back to Running

This morning was my first run since coming down with a cold… it went pretty well, I didn’t feel like I was running very smoothly but I ended up running just over 5 miles in 41:30.  Oh and it was raining intermittently so that may have slowed me a little.  I’m planning a short run tomorrow after lifting and then a 6 or 7 mile run on Saturday afternoon.

Last night was my final WW meeting.  I felt a little maudlin, but I’m kind of glad to be out on my own now.  I’m back to counting calories… I’ll try it for a month or so and see how it goes.

2 May 2007 – Good Lifting Day

I lifted this morning and it went pretty well.  I increased weight on my squats and calf raises and my curls will be going up on Friday.  I’m having a little trouble increasing on my bench press but I think that is mainly due to doing bent-over rows prior to the bench press.  I have to do it in this order to keep my circuit workout going — so I’ll not worry about the rep or two I’m dropping I’m sure I’ll pick them up.

In other news tonight is my final Weight Watchers meeting.  I think that it is a pretty good program for relatively inactive people but I do not fit in that category and it seems like the WW program is a bit off for me.  I’m still going to be tracking my weight, and trying to lose the last 10, but it will be all me.  I’m going to continue eating healthy and track my calories for a bit.

My cold seems to be gone for which I’m very thankful.  I am looking forward to running tomorrow morning.  This is a long post but I also want to mention my new theme — I just switched but “Cutline” seems to be awesome!
