In spite of my runners knee, and the fact that I’m not to sure about my running fitness I’ve just signed up for the Charlottesville 10 Miler. I’m putting together my training schedule. Nine weeks before race day on March 29th.
I’m not actually that far out of shape for the race having had an okay run for almost 7 miles yesterday. I do hope that I can get rid of my knee trouble by then…
This will be my fourth running of the race. My times:
2005 – 93:27
2006 – 88:59
2007 – 80:09
Can I sub-80 with my knee trouble? Time will tell.

Wednesday – Ran 40 minutes about 4 miles
Thursday – Lifted Weights and Row for 21 minutes
Friday – Ran 4 miles in 32.5 minutes
Saturday – Lifted Weights and Bike 32 minutes and Row 22 minutes

Wow – its been quite a while since my last update… holidays and all that. The good news is that although I haven’t been updating my blog I have continued working out. First three pretty major news items (for me):
1) Jacki finally got the all clear from her gall bladder removal and subsequent complications (got all clear on January 3rd had her gall bladder out way back in September).
2) I’ve decided to do physical therapy on my own. After a few visits for physical therapy I became very disenchanted. They’d show me an exercise then wander off for a half hour… what am I paying for? I can do this on my own for free… so I am.
3) New Job! I recently accepted a position as a Systems Analyst and start in the new position on February 6th – I’m quite excited.
As you may have guessed if you read my weekly workouts… I purchased my exercise bike and rowing machine and have been trying to use them regularly…
I enjoyed how quick it is to update on a weekly basis, so I think I’m going to move to that format.
